Membership in this church is open to all who are in general agreement with our Unitarian Universalist Principles. Membership begins with the mindful act of signing the Membership Book.
Path to Membership Classes
If you are considering becoming a member of the UCSI, you may want to attend one of our Path for Membership classes. Classes are held two or three times during the year. The classes are an excellent way to learn more about Unitarian Universalism, and about the Unitarian Church of Staten Island and its members.
The classes allow members and non-members to get to know each other better and explore the meaning of membership in the Unitarian Universalit Church of Staten Island. Classes allow us to explore our various spiritual journeys and to share what moves members about the Unitarian Church of Staten Island. Through Path to Membership classes, you will gain a deeper understanding of Unitarian Universalist theology, increase your knowledge of American Unitarian and Universalist history, get an in-depth look at our own Church's history and the history of our building, as well as an understanding of the church's committee structure and programs.
If you have questions regarding membership and would prefer not to wait until a class is held, membership co-chairs Maureen Curran and Sarah Dolinar are available to answer your questions. Simply email them att membership -at- uucsi.org.
